2018 been a Poor Year for Most Investors unbelievably the Best Performing Asset was CASH.. the SP500 is currently -7%
This is Why I always advocate Actively Managing your Portfolio.. How do we do this you may ask. Well you can try conventional methods like rebalancing thats simply Selling assets that have done well and Buy 'underperforming' Assets which can be tricky or try following the old saying 'Sell in May come back on St.Ledgers Day' which basically means Sell your Assets in the month of MAY & BUY them back in SEPTEMBER This sometimes works(for various reasons) but NOT in 2018 as you can see from the chart MAY-SEPT was the BEST period for Stocks in 2018!
