Spider-Man has been one of my favorite superhero as long as I can remember. As such, he going to be the first thing that I'm going to post here.

Now on to the drawing!!

So this is the final result:

As far as digital drawing goes, I'm still learning. So instead of drawing digitally, I drew on paper and scanned it.

After that, the photo was opened in photoshop for colouring. After done colouring, I added shadows. The method I used for this part was taken from Todd McFarlane, who worked on The Amazing Spider-Man in the 80's. The method used was to just create a new layer and place it above the coloured layer and paint black as a shadow. When done, just reduced the opacity of the layer until you got the tone you wanted.

The result was then exported to Adobe Illustrator for the background. The halftones effect (dots on old comic books, result of technological printing disadvantages of those times) was created by copy paste circles multiple times.

And that was how it was done. I hope that this will be the beginning of more post to come.
