Understanding That You Control Your Destiny Brings You the Confidence You Need to Achieve Your Goals

"There are no causes of life, but what you make of it." Charles Dickens. This quote reminds me of a philosophical question I have often pondered: How do you understand that you control your destiny? You see, whenever we make any kind of decision based on emotion, or even on logic, we get influenced by the circumstances surrounding us. However, when we take an objective look at life, it makes more sense to say that the decisions we make have meanings and consequences in the long-term.


When you look at life from this perspective, it becomes clear that our choices have meanings and consequences that stretch far beyond the immediate here and now. It's not about deciding which fork to go upon; it's about choosing which fork to walk upon. If you understand this, then you no longer feel the need to control your destiny or convince anyone else to do so. You can simply decide for yourself who you are, where you want to go, and how you will get there.

This is truly the most liberating and empowering insight into controlling your own destiny that you'll ever have. If you truly understand this and are willing to act on it, you can change your life, your world, for the better. And you know that it can happen, because it has happened before. The same thing can happen again, if you are willing to act on your understanding that you control your destiny.

The most powerful insight into controlling your destiny is to simply stop caring about what other people think. By doing this, you remove the greatest barrier to your reaching your goals. By removing this barrier, you also eliminate all the potential obstacles that stand in your way. In other words, once you decide that you can control your destiny, you can start doing just that. Once you create the freedom to pursue your goals without being hindered by outside forces, you are on your way to success. That which previously stood in your way has been removed.

There are a lot of people out there who say that they want to help you achieve your goals. But when you ask them how they can help you, they respond with words like "hope" and "aid". They say these things, but they are not telling you what you really need to hear. These words are empty promises, because what they really mean is, "I will help you achieve your dreams, but I don't know how". This type of response is indicative of a life in which you believe that you can control your destiny, but where nothing is actually being done to bring it about.

This is the greatest danger that faces you, when you believe that you can control your destiny. This danger is not the danger that awaits those who believe that luck favors them, because while it is true that some fortunate events might fall their way, the overwhelming majority of the events that we experience are not meant to happen. We have the free will to choose what happens to us, no matter what the circumstances. The real danger comes when we start to believe that we can control the outcomes of any given situation. When we understand that you are ultimately responsible for your own destiny, and that you control your own future by the choices you make today, it becomes easier to prevent problems from arising.

When you understand that you control your destiny, you begin to have a more optimistic view of life, which in turn makes it much easier to get up and take charge of your life. If you have ever met someone who was negative, tense, and full of doubts, you know exactly what I am talking about. He just didn't seem to know what he was doing. When you understand that you are the one who holds the reins on your own destiny, rather than some higher power, it makes it easier to be positive and focused on what you want to achieve.


Understanding that you control your destiny will make it so much easier to get up and take charge of your own life. Rather than allowing things to be handed to you on a silver platter, you will be able to take charge of every decision you make, so that you actually create the results that you want. You will no longer allow other people's hands to get involved with your destiny. When you understand that you control your destiny, and how you will get the results you want, it gives you the confidence to move forward with your dreams and goals. Life becomes more fun when you have the right frame of mind.
