Self Confidence Acceptance

Do you accept yourself for who you are and do you embrace self-confidence? Self Confidence Acceptance, by Brian Tracy, PhD is a program that teaches you to be comfortable with who you are. It is not only good for your mental health but also for your physical well being. When we accept ourselves, our body responds by saying, "Okay, this is just the way it is." Once we can start believing that our imperfections are normal, we then begin the process of developing the strength to deal with and work through them.

In our society today, there are more people who believe they are inferior than there are who genuinely believe they are superior. The goal of this program is to get you out of that false mindset. It helps you to look at yourself in a different light and to see that you have everything you could possibly want or need. You will also discover how to turn your weaknesses into strengths.

Self-acceptance involves taking time to praise yourself and telling yourself that you are worthy of everything you desire. When you believe you are worthy of success, you will be inspired to do more and accomplish more. Your self-confidence will grow and you will start seeing your capabilities as God's gifts. This is the key to happiness.

Self-acceptance and self-confidence are intertwined. When one is lacking in either, it's not likely you are going to achieve success or happiness. Self acceptance is very important in order to build your self esteem. This will also encourage you to value and give importance to your own voice, talents, abilities and strengths.

Self-confidence is the ability to feel secure in yourself. It is a state of mind that encourages you to be your authentic self and to live up to your true potential. When you develop this feeling of self-acceptance, you will notice a change in your behavior. You will no longer procrastinate, be shy or depressed. You will actually enjoy participating in everything you set out to do.

Self-acceptance can be acquired by reading positive books, listening to motivation and inspiration CD's and watching motivational videos. Positive affirmation plays a big role in building your confidence and sense of achievement. It helps you see the world from a different perspective and gives you an overall feeling of satisfaction.

In order to build self esteem and self confidence, you must also learn how to forgive yourself for past mistakes, even when they are made by others. This includes forgiving your mistakes when you make them, and accepting that others can make mistakes. Remember, we all make mistakes.

Appreciate yourself and everyone else for their good qualities and achievements. Focus on your achievements, instead of what you wish you would have done or said. These are all ways that you can improve your self-image.

It is not easy being a perfectionist, however, you must resist this temptation. Doing so will cause you to focus on your weaknesses instead of your strengths. You must accept the fact that you cannot control or change other people or things. This is where your self-acceptance comes in. You should take responsibility for your own actions and your own failure. Only then can you begin to build self-confidence.

One way to increase your self-confidence is to exercise. Exercising releases endorphins into the bloodstream. Aromatherapy is another natural way of improving your self image. Studies have shown that the scent of eucalyptus can decrease anxiety levels and increase self confidence.

Lastly, it is important to surround yourself with positive people and ideas. You can find these people and ideas through participation in social groups, forums and chat rooms. The Internet has made it possible for individuals to network at a variety of locations worldwide. Your social circle of influence is extensive. With a little creative thinking, it is possible to improve your self-confidence on a daily basis.


There are many books available to help you improve your self-confidence. Most self confidence books will provide tips and techniques that can be implemented immediately.
