Nisam District is one of the Districts in North Aceh Regency with an area of ​​approximately 193.47 km / 19347 Ha. The number of settlements in this sub-district were 3 settlements, namely the settlement of Keude Amplah consisting of 14 villages, the Kemang Blang Dalam as many as 12 villages, and the Lhok Weng settlement as many as 3 villages.

The total number of villages in Nisam Subdistrict is 29 villages located in the plains and hills. Geographically, Nisam District is directly adjacent to Bandar Baro Subdistrict to the west and borders with Kuta Makmur District and Lhokseumawe City to the east, while to the north is Dewantara and Lhokseumawe Subdistricts, and to the south by Nisam Antara District (BPS, 2015).

The total area of ​​paddy fields for the Agricultural Extension Work Area (WKPP) Nisam I is 329 hectares consisting of 5 villages in Nisam Subdistrict, the 5 villages were selected as research sites namely the Mns village. Meucat, Paloh Kayee Kunyet, Blang Karieng, Paloh Mambu, and West Gampong with the consideration that the village had received agricultural extension and was a village that had active and productive farmer groups.

Meumasah Meucat Village has an area of ​​80 Ha of rice fields, 60 Ha of Paloh Kayee Kunyet, 60 ha of Blang Karieng, 79 ha of Paloh Mambu, and 50 Ha of West Village.
