One of the most frequently asked questions of fans, why Rose did not offer space on the door for Jack at the time. There have been conspiracies over the years, and even research, proving that Rose and Jack could have managed to float on the doorstep after the Titanic sank.

Actor Billy Zane, who plays Rose's arrogant girlfriend, Cal, had stated that Jack's character "had to die". In an interview with the media, Billy Zane was asked about Rose who moved little by little to save Jack's life.

As reported by Liputan6.com, TITANIC director James Cameron often gets questions about the reasons behind Rose's seemingly selfish attitude in the ultimate film related scenes. After all, James Cameron said that Jack's character was always meant to die.
He said, "The answer is very simple because it says on page 147 (script), that Jack died, very simply, it is an artistic choice, it is big enough to hold, and not big enough to hold it."
Funny to see Billy Zane and James Cameron have to answer that stupid question. Titanic won 11 trophies from 14 nominations at the 1998 Academy Awards event, none other than a convincing love story. The film also makes Jack's character appear as a hero, as he takes the risk to kill himself for the sake of the woman he loves.
