My childhood videogames

in Steem Gaming3 years ago

Hello everyone, i've been in the video game stuff for a long time and i thought i'd be nice to share with you the list of games that reminds me of my childhood. I'm sure many of you will feel nostalgic and identified with some of these wonderful games. I hope you like this and without further ado, let's go.

List:

  • Luigi's Mansion
  • Mario Sunshine
  • Super Smash Bros (Nintendo 64)
  • Crash Bandicoot (any game)

We all know the famous mansion, but I specially have good memories with this one... I mean, it's a Nintendo game, who didn't had a good time with Nintendo...right?

Anyway, this was my first "horror game" by that time it was scary for me going from one room to another with a vacuum and a flashlight, and don't lie to me, I know all of you were a little scared of walking around trying to save Mario. One of the most iconic things are the boss fights, some bosses were tricky...like Neville Bookish, Henry and Orville, Boolossus, Bowser and King Boo. Imagine entering a room knowing that your character was about to fight some killer ghost...conforting right?

I remember the game story a little spooky but it's perfect as the E.Gadd ghost-hunting artifacts (which were supposed to help you through the game) and the crazy usefulness that this gadgets had. How fun it is that Mario got caught in a painting and all the journey Luigi did was for getting his brother out? for me... A LOT. If i could rate this game it would be a 10/10.

Okay, this IS a game, an "open world" one (or that's what I think) with nice movement, dinamic levels and the all-time famous shadow Mario. So, the game takes place on the Isle Delfino, this shadow Mario starts to vandalize the island leaving the original Mario guilty for the mess. It is our duty to clean up the island with the Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device (F.L.U.D.D) while, of course, saving Peach. I personally found this game very fun, not only for the Delfino people and the F.L.U.D.D personality but for the fact of cleaning walls. I remember collecting Shine Sprites and facing the final boss, gathering this sprites is really important because it helps you to unlock secret levels and a secret ending...I wish I could turn back time to revive this moments.

In case you dont remember what Shadow Mario looks like, it looks like this:

What's it better than fighting our favorite Nintendo characters? I don't even have the words to describe what this game means for me. All my preferred guys inside one game, and I'm sure we all think the same. Anyway, one of my favorite fighters were Samus, Cpt. Falcon and Link because they were really easy to use, fast and agile. I would like to know which character did u use and why...just being curious. I remember all the fighting stages as perfect as the game, every single one of them but the best thing was to get together with my friends to compete and see who was the best (and yes, there was a lot of screaming). Everyday after school the same routine, golden times.

I think the new Super Smash Bros games are ok but they will never become what this game was.

I specially remember this game because I used to play it with my dad at my grandparent's house. I didn't mention this before but it was because of my dad that I started playing videogames, he introduced me to to this world. I played every game of Crash, every game with every Sony console (PS1,PS2,PS3,PSP, and PS4). Some of The Crash Bandicoot titles are: Crash Bandicoot: of the titans, mind over mutant, the wrath of Cortex, TwinSanity, N sane Trilogy, Cortex Strikes Back, Warped and It's About Time (they are not arranged chronologically). And yes, I repeat, I played it all. In my opinion this games are the best adventure games of all time, my favorite one is TwinSanity (in which you needed to work with Cortex to defeat the final boss). Every boss was different in its own way but they were challenging sometimes. Of course I need to mention the Aku Uka brothers (helpers of Cortex and Crash) because they were awesome too, a fun fact is that they used to be humans.
