Climbing in the Boulderfields
Crushing, crimping and laybacks.
Cleaning the chains after a surprisingly tricky lead on a 10c climb "Slanted Reality" in the boulderfields -- Kelowna, BC, Canada. I don't know why we made the foolish mistake of climbing in direct sunlight on a 36-degree day. It was WAY too hot, and drained us of any energy and motivation we had pretty quickly. Good times, and sunburns, were had by all.

36 degrees and direct sunlight, that were some sweaty hands i assume ;-) But better uncomfortable climbing than no climbing!

Stuck between a rock and a hard place springs to mind - superb photo I only did a little climbing and abseiling in my time. Plenty of snowboarding though - I love that. Anyway thanks for leaving a comment on my post, it looks like you are starting out here - and I'm not going to soft soap you - it's going to be hard and frustrating at the start but keep working at the posts and it will all come together - just don't feel you are getting little for your posts and give up - it takes time to get established. Follow people who post things you are interested in, comment on their posts - when you comment on peoples posts it makes them aware of you and like I have done they might look at your own work and comment and upvote. Scroll through my blog for the posts on upvote services and external sites like steemfollower.com that can help you grow. Make use of Discord for chatting with people and to get free post promotion the @Minnowsupport guys are superb https://discordapp.com/channels/319885228464406528/319885497428344832 where you can drop a post link every 24 hours and get upvotes for it to help promote it. You can also find a very friendly bunch of people and a free post promotion section you can drop a link in at GuideSteemit https://discordapp.com/channels/374566683920171023/374576552068775946 you can reach out to people by commenting on their posts or using the Discord channels for chat - but most of all stick at it I think you have lot's of quality content that Steemit needs to grow.
Thanks, dude! I've been creeping through a couple of your posts already -- definitely some interesting stuff. I don't play as many games as I used to, but I'm definitely keen on building some PC's, photography, and drinking coffee. Thanks for all the details on growing within this community -- I'll scope out the discord & other services as well.

You are more then welcome, to keep my post count up I tend to try and vary what I post between things that interest me - I find it is easier to create posts on things that are happening in my life rather then force one from nothing. If you keep going back you will find I throw in the odd post on Steemit promotion services and upvote bots - these will be the most useful. At the start it will seem like you are posting and getting nothing back, my turning point was when I realised that each Steemit post is like marketing a product for business - if you create a product to sell you don't just make it and hope people find it - you pay to advertise it or at least work at pushing it to your market. Steemit is just like that - when you create a post the chances of people finding it and upvoting it or slim to non existent - so you need to look at all the ways available to market your post and use them. Paid upvote bots can push your post in front of people - but you need to build funds to use them. Free services can help promote your posts, and simply slugging away viewing other peoples posts, following them, commenting on their posts - that helps as well. But if you create a post, sit and wait to see if it does well - chances are unless you are super lucky it will struggle. I see many really wonderful posts not getting the rewards they deserve - simply because they are not getting the after post promotion - most of what I learned is from viewing what other people were doing and also being a nosey little blighter and looking at their wallets to see who they paid to get them further!
