Hello everyone. I hope you are good wherever you are seeing this post from. It's another wonderful time again to share with you lessons I have just learned. It's been long I shared my diary of Daily Lessons with you. I was actually busy with one thing or the other. Today, I have decided to share another wonderful lesson with you and I do hope you will learn from it.

In my last lesson, I talked about "don't force people to change". I explained why you can't force change on people. I remember I said if you want people to change, the change must start from you. Until you become a transformed person, you can't help people. If you have not read the article, I implore you to go read it.

Today, I will be talking about another lesson I just learned. I hope you will read it to the end and find the lessons interesting.

Intentionally Appreciate People

Like I always tell my readers, one of the best ways to learn is from circumstances, the happenings around you. This lesson I'm sharing with you is what I learned around me. I wish to share it because I believe it will help you, just as I have also learned more.

There's nothing you will achieve in life that will be achieved based on your own strength or intelligence. Everyone who ever achieved great things was helped by people. It's important to know that. You can't achieve things by yourself. You will always need help of others.

Anyone who doesn't understand this will think he's achieved whatever he achieved by himself. No one has ever done anything by himself. You will always need one or two people. If you think you can do something by yourself, and I will tell you more than one persons who will help you achieve that thing.

A farmer can't cultivate land by himself. If he doesn't have hoes and cutlass, there's nothing he could do. He would have to go to the blacksmith and buy hoes and cutlass to use for the land cultivation.

So, knowing you can't achieve anything without help of others will help you to give credits to people. There's a need to understand how to appreciate people who contribute to the success of of your achievement. And that's the focus of this article. Sometimes, we think we achieved it by ourselves, whereas, we didn't.

How much do you appreciate the efforts of others? That's the question. You see, we should learn to appreciate the efforts of people who have one way or other helped us in achieving what we have achieved so far.

Recently, someone was talking about a short skit film they did. When he was asked to come out and talk, he said he has learned to be a better director. However, he didn't stop at that, he said, they could achieve what they achieved because people helped him.

He thanked everyone who worked together with him. That's how to appreciate people. You may not have what to give them, but recognizing the efforts in your success story is enough. And that's nothing but giving credit to them. You intentionally appreciate them for the impacts they had on your achievement.

One of the things I have noticed is that, we don't appreciate people because we think we deserve to be helped. In fact, some people don't appreciate those who are close to them. They think, they are our people. And it's not supposed to be. We should learn to appreciate people. When you appreciate people, they will help you the more.

Bosses in the office should learn to appreciate their subordinates, principal in schools should learn to appreciate their teachers, husbands at homes should learn to appreciate their wives. We just need to learn to appreciate one another. There's nothing you can achieve by yourself if no one helps you. If you think you are good at what you do today, know that some people helped and are still helping you.

I can write today because my teachers tried for me. They taught me how to write. I'm grateful for the time they would feel tired, they would feel like not coming to school. Yet, they would still come because they wanted me to learn. I'm in this platform because someone introduced me to it and guided me properly. So, I'm always grateful to @fredquantum who invited me here. He guided me properly. I'm grateful to all those who have upvoted my contents so far, especially Steemcurator01 and 02 on this platform.

Appreciating people, giving credit to them should be intentional. We need to be doing it always. Let people know how they have helped us. It's important because you didn't achieve it by yourself.

We all should learn how to give credit to people, how to appreciate them well. You will not be arrogant when you know you can't achieve anything by yourself. We need people to achieve great things in life. And so we must appreciate them. Appreciate everyone who has contributed to your achievement.

I hope you have taken one or two lessons from this article today. You can use the comment box to make contribution. Thank you for reading through.
