Potluck

Potluck is such a fabulous idea. Everybody coming to the party contributes by bringing some food and or drinks to the table.

So much variety and so much tasting and eating to enjoy. It is highly recommended for the chief organiser to communicate with everyone as to who is cooking what. We certainly don't want too many people bringing the same food.

It's marvellous that some of my potluck friends are good cooks and have a wide food repertoire. We have had potluck dishes like pasta salad, roasted port belly, lamb cutlets, fried noodles, chowder, trifle, etc. One of the most memorable potluck dishes that I had eaten was a baked bree cheese appetiser. The thought of it now is making me drool.

I almost always bring the same thing each time I attend these potluck meetings. My contribution is apple strudel that I get from an artisanal bakery near my house. My friends are always asking for the strudel as it is so delicious. It's a bit expensive but well worth it.
