Fridge Magnets

I was impressed with the collection of fridge magnets that I saw on a friend's home fridge and decided that it is an amazing way to jazz up my boring little kitchen.

For the next few years, I would lookout for magnets at souvenir stores wherever I travel to including airport layovers. I was immensely proud of my collection which almost covered the entire fridge door. I hardly cooked due to my working long hours and cleaning the magnets was easy.

I started cooking after I stopped working and now have plenty of time on my hands. I find that the surface of the fridge magnets is sticky likely from all the cooking and frying. The blasting of the exhaust from the overhead cooker hood does not alleviate the grime that finds its way onto the magnets.

Now my fridge door is magnet free and everyday all I have to do is just wipe the fridge with a damp cloth. Less hassle and completely stress free. The magnets are stored in a box and may one day find their way back to fridge door if and when I stop cooking.
