"Flaggot" abuse from an unbiased perspective
It is now 2017... Happy New Years.. It's time to wreck this bitch

I look forward to what the year has in store and I'm very grateful for being blessed in so many different ways in 2016. I found new friends, testing a brand new platform where free speech is promoted.
O yes, things were definitely looking up coming into 2017... well, until the flagging became a bigger issue then I originally pointed out in The Steemit Civil War. Now very disgusting and hateful terms like "flaggot" are used as a label to slap on anybody who threatens the success of another by standing up for what they believe is misinformation, abuse or talking down on another user.
Welcome to the world of Credibility

Hypocrisy
How ironic that a team of loyal supporters are willing to let such terms be used in a chat room towards other members who have little to no support of the larger whales, for making questionable and quite frankly, very harmless accusations. Really think about this term, "FLAGGOT". A term which takes a very condescending and hate word such as FAGGOT and combined with another very controversial steemit word/topic at the moment, FLAG, to form the ultimate derogatory term to brand the user YOU are trying to destroy.
and if your not using this word... SOMEBODY is saying it for you

Is this what I'm going to have to deal with when it comes to my son?
FLAGGOT
This doesn't represent the users you are attacking.. this represents you.. so when I see a team of flag happy goons, blast a post with comments such as ones defending somebody THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW and disregarding any possible credible history the post creator might have, my eyes and ears perk up and I find myself really wondering...
What's Really Going On?

Is it wrong to question somebody? I agree it's definitely wrong to accuse without evidence but if there isn't any evidence to support anything positive or negative... then what exactly are ANY of us trying to prove?
@berniesanders
Never had issues with the guy but he apparently has random and inconsistent issues with users across the entire platform. Does this make him a bad guy? Not at all... but his actions do seem to encourage others to attack the smaller accounts and promote the still unacknowledged, "Civil War". Not one person has stepped away from their original belief and actually looked at this entire war on a grander scale.
Gaming The System

Didn't seem too much of a problem when I first found steemit... a couple weeks in I learn there were indeed such problems where users where trying to blackmail others, trying to extort them for money in return for secrecy. Now you have this @steemsports issue where they originally made a statement, claiming they will take the games to another website and allow steemians to bet on games with their own money... which in turn, allows the rewards pool to recover and raise the rewards for the actual creators of original content. Only a day or so later, they decide to retract that statement and continue with the very controversial betting games. The problem I have with this is... they weren't the only ones offering such games... they took this idea from several other steemit users and really took it to another level. Using the 4 post limit, per day and then creating another account to allow for the use of a different "Steemit related" game, STEEMYGAMES which @craig-grant and I were among the first group of users to submit to such a "popular contest". I gave full permission and had no problems whatsoever with how the game seemed to be managed, at first. Once you dig a little deeper and look at how these games are created and managed, you will find yourself questioning why you even took part in something very disturbing.
Side Note
Defending bernie sanders by accusing the accusers of "Gaming The System" to me... seems like your gaming bernie sanders. I understand this guy has a reputation that he would like to protect. My response to that is... well, protect your own reputation. Don't allow others to do it for you because at some point or another, these users might be exposed as someone very dirty and unworthy of your support as well.
In Closing
You might not be "gaming the system, calling people "flaggots" or even part of a team of "defenders"/"ofenders" but I promise you tho... there is a good few people roaming all the chat rooms, blasting users by calling them "flaggots" and haters, trying to discredit them from making very bold statements which for the most part, have a good pretty good and reasonable point to make.
These users, aren't helping your team of flag happy curators, look any better... my advice.. take em out of your pocket and let them fend for themselves. If credibility is something very important to you... you wouldn't allow for someone to be using derogatory and sexist remarks and intentionally bullying users with threats and flaunts of power "standing behind them"

well put @mrwang.
When people who speak their mind are subjected to nasty, hateful, sexist bullying it really takes 'free speech' and 'non-censored' out of the platform.
Those who engage in that behaviour need to feel the full weight of the community for their irresponsible use of 'free speech' and 'uncensored'.
Unless of course, the community supports it and that is why they don't respond.
There would be no small amount of karma attached to the very same whales that are supposedly 'protecting' the perpetrator(s) were part of bringing that weight to bear.
And this is the kind of article I love to read. Impartial, observing and complete.
The "war of credibility" is something very serious. Given that, being at the blockchain, personal data can be linked to a user and a SUE come later. Defamation, Slander... Those trials are a week of paperwork for a nice revenue! (I wonder when will that happen?)
Anarchy at its finest?
Tough crowd Steemit has.
