Women of the World: She speaks 10 Languages!
Hello dear Steemians and welcome to a little intermezzo to my travel/photography blog. Welcome to Bali!
Even though I view myself as a traveler with a camera - and not a photographer - I do do the occasional lifestyle shooting.
So today I want to show you the results of a shooting I did a few days ago. We went to this lonely tiny beach with black sand in west Bali, hung out together and took these shots. Meet my friend Maille:
Taking pictures is not an end to itself for me - I do it in order to freeze the moment, keep memories of my adventures and to have something that lasts to remind me of the awesome people I meet in this world.
Maille is one of the strongest women I ever met, but what impressed me most, is the fact that she speaks numerous languages. Having grown up in Indonesia she obviously speaks Indonesian but also various dialects of Javanese (in Java the caste system still exists and each caste has its own language) and Balinese. She then taught herself English, Russian, French and some German. Incredible...
I love traveling and whenever I do, I try to study the local language simply because it is the gateway to a very different and more profound experience of a country's culture. So I am very impressed by Maille - Cheers to that! Needless to say that she is a beautiful woman and skilled model.
So that wraps it up for today's little intermezzo. I will keep posting the results of some shootings in between my travel blog entries if I may :-).

By the way, the next country I will take you to is one of the five youngest states in the world, I am already excited to take you on the next adventure. There are so many people to introduce to you, places to show you and stories to tell you!
