People of Myanmar - 3
Welcome to part 3 of my "People of Myanmar" series.
This time I want to take you to a little village close to Inle Lake. I was doing a trekking tour with one of my best friends and we stayed over in this tiny place in the mountains.
It felt like we traveled back in time, life in that place is so slow and simple. I kept thinking about how much would change - to the better and to the worse - if someone gave the villagers just one single tractor to make their farming 1000 times more efficient.
This is a picture of a chili farmer harvesting his vegetables 100% manually.
Even though I always travel without too much luxury, sleeping in that village was a challenge. There was no shower except for a bucket and I don't even want to talk about the toilet... Here are some more impressions of the village and its people:
On our trekking tour to the village, we met some water buffalos. The following picture was a "get out the camera, take the picture and then get more distance between you and this animal"- kinda thing ;-). And no, there was no fence between him and me, but when I walked backwards, he relaxed...
To top it all off, this is what the sunset looked like. I want to stress that I did not mess with the colors!
Thanks for reading my fellow Steemians, Love,
