Go also called Golang is an open source programming language that was launched by Google Inc. in 2009 and is currently used in several production systems of Google. Go is a compiling language with support for contemporary execution of multiple processes whose programs are both fast in the compilation and execution. It is a modern programming language with well-thought-out syntax, static types and object-oriented composition. Although the language is relatively young, it is used already in production at several major companies.

Clone in Desktop
Try:

$ sudo apt-get install golang-go
... but if that's too old for you, try:

$sudo apt-get install golang-1.8-go

Or use Go's official (non-Deb) by visiting and download source below :
https://golang.org/dl/

If you're using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and are unable to install golang-1.8-go, then you can also use the longsleep/golang-backports PPA:

$sudo add-apt-repository ppa:longsleep/golang-backports
$sudo apt-get update
$sudo apt-get install golang-go
