Take me back to - MIAMI
I love going through memories of places I travelled to and try to remember the impressions I got, the people I met, the smell in the air, the energy I received and feeling I had. In this post I'm throwing it back to my last destination Miami, but first...
No matter if it was in Greece, Spain, India, New York or Miami, every place in the world that I have been to, and I'm positive that this is also true for places I haven't yet been to, each has its own unique character, kind of like a personality. I believe that there are a lot of factors that make up the character of a region, but eventually it's a feeling you get. Some prefer a region with a lot of mountains, lakes and nature, like you find in Sweden, others love the "perfect chaos", colorful and with a lot of people, like in India.
I love to travel and experience the diversity of places the world has to offer. I grew up in the beautiful city Hamburg, Germany and that's the life I was used to, until I lived a year in farm town/suburb Suffield, Connecticut. That year by far was the most amazing experience and I found out how much I enjoy living in a small town, going hiking and on boats at the lake.
So now I know that I don't have one favorite place, but what I do personally love the most is the beachlife, palmtrees, ocean breeze, sun. That is what makes me the most happy and where I feel most alive. At the same time the citylife I'm used to is what makes me feel home. A combination of both is my dream...
Take me back to...my last vacation, a year ago when I travelled the East Coast together with my friend Jeannette. Right after graduation we quickly planned a trip where we first flew to CT to visit my family, then to NYC...
Quick sidenote:
I am obsessed with beautiful views
I really enjoyed our stay in New York City, the amazing rooftops and the overall energy of the city.
I took this amazing photo on a rooftop in the Soho area
... and finally after going from suburb to big city, being around family and a lot of people, it was time for some relaxation in SoBe Miami! We stayed at a lovely airbnb apartment two blocks away from Ocean Drive and the beach for about 2 weeks. I absolutely loved waking up with a beautifu view, going to the beach and enjoying the nightlife. The energy of the city was amazing and we met awesome people already on the first day who showed us some of the best spots..
my secret tip: check out Española Way, lovely cafés and a very lively atmosphere!
Miami certainly is one of my favorite places I've been to so far. When it comes to the States I definitely want to travel the West Coast next, where the conditions from what I know are are similar to Florida.
What are some of your favorite places, cities, regions, countries?
And where do you want to go next?

Nice pictures. I especially like the ones with the water in them. UPVOTED!
Please have a look at this photo with water in the background. It wasn't taken during vacation but it gives a similar feeling.

That water color, ohhhhhh man! I lived in South Florida for several years, but north of where the water turns that gorgeous turquoise color (seemed like the shift happens around Ft. Lauderdale) - my favorite spots were in Key West and on the west coast of Florida around Sanibel and Captiva. Have you been there, too?
I love Florida! I stayed in Boca Raton, not sure where excactly that is, but my last vacation was in South Beach only. It is so nice down there, the beach is beautiful! Next time I'll make sure to travel around even more, thanks :)
really nice landscapes, including the woman in gold.
Thank you! & that's me :)
Nice to know :)
