Diary: 09-16-16 Summer in September

Today was a lovely day. My friend Sarah has moved to Vienna to study there and today she came to visit, so we together with another one of my girlfriends Limon decided to enjoy the afternoon/evening in the center of our home-city Hamburg, Germany:

Hamburg is a beautiful city. I was born, raised and live in this city. The biggest problem I have with this place...

the awful weather! Germany in general is a rather cold country, but Hamburg in particular has a rainy, cold, autumn-like weather all year around. Our summer (if we are lucky to have one) most of the time consists of very few warm days in August. My birthday is at the end of July and pretty much every year it is rainy and cool, then warms up a little in August and in September we're already back in autumn.

BUT not this year. To all our surprise the late summer hit our city with temperatures around 30 degrees which is I believe something like 86-89 degrees fahrenheit. I'm really happy about that since weather plays a major role in my mood setting. Sometimes it's the little things, warm nights, some good friends, drinks and late night talks are what you need to make you appreciate and enjoy life the most...

Yes we look really tired, because we are.. but if you have nice weather for a day you have to go out!

Now it's currently 3:30 AM here in Germany and I can't sleep maybe because we have full moon tonight.. I'm not sure if that's the reason for my load of energy, maybe? At the end of this gif in the top left corner you can see the moon:

Anyway, tomorrow I'm going back to Berlin for a surprise party for one of my best friends, so a warning/heads up, tomorrow I'm going to be more girly than the usual nerdy with my posts. I will document everything, introduce you to my girlfriends, let you in on their thoughts about Steemit and maybe give you some inspiration for your next birthday party (probably only if you're a girl)...
