uhhh new announcement, i'm thrilled, what will it be? next step to go-live maybe? let's see. have a question as you mentioned the first apx distributions yesterday. apx payout is just in form of apx-power or as well in liquid apx (like steem)? my first payouts have been directly added to apx-power. not that i'm unhappy about it, would have powered up anyway, just to know. thanks🙏🏻✌🏻
Good question, you’re not the only one who has been asking and the answer is yes at the moment your rewards are claimed automatically and powered up. This way we avoid the confusion for mainstream users to understand how to „claim rewards“ and skip that step for them - otherwise it would be likely for liquid tokens to lay around and not be used as voting power, nor transferred and they would be wondering why their voting power doesn’t change. We actually did a case study in the beginning where we had the token distribution in form of liquid tokens and the result was that 80% of people didn‘t power up their tokens and it created confusion around their voting power not increasing. So we decided to make the process as simple as possible. Also, we wanted to highlight the utility of the token which again is, to use them as voting power in the APP. If users want to have liquid tokens to transfer them, they should actively be choosing to do that.
