What it means to be at Peace with All

The Romans advise that if only we could we should do well to live well and be at peace with all and sundry, unfortunately, a lot of us have either misunderstood this, or we simply overdo things in the name of we be good people and all that. But there's a limit to everything that we do as humans and that includes being good too.

I believe the saying that too much of everything is bad is true and applies to every aspect of our lives, for instance, if you become so much rich and you do not take care you may not respect people well anymore as you ought to because you may feel untouchable and on top of the world because you believe everything can be solved with money.

So when we say living in peace with everyone we simply talking about not harboring hatred or ill will against one another, letting go of people stepping on your toes, and you seek to make amends when you offend others. It does not mean letting people use you, it also doesn't mean that when people keep repeating the same bad thing to you you should tolerate them.

Bad energy is equally terrible as a toxic individual who sees your weekend and tries to take advantage of you. One who realizes that you are good at heart and thus would continue to harm you in ways you wouldn't be cut off, I am not saying have ill will against them or anything but it is only the fool that makes the same mistake twice. Even God cut off the Israelites on countless occasions when they kept repeating the same mistakes.

So yeah, be at peace with all, forgive but don't necessarily forget because it is the knowledge of the past that would give you steps moving forward so you do not make the same mistake again. And do not allow people to take advantage of you or walk all over you. How you carry yourself and your reputation are very much important as well as who you let into your life. Be private, Be dignified.
