The Curse and Blessing of the Tongue
The psalmist makes us understand that we are gods, we are the image and likeness of the highest and we have been given power and authority to manifest and do great the way a god ought to. This power has been imbibed in us and once we come to be believers we unlock our greatest asset and potential which lies in the power of the tongue.
Our words are powerful, they hold power, enough power to command the wind to listen if only we can muster enough faith to execute, our words are powerful enough to cause unfathomable harm and in the same vain unfathomable blessing. What we do with our words and our mouth has a lot of implications on not just our lives but the lives of those that surround us.
This is also why it is of utmost importance that we learn to say the right things at the right times always and also learn to speak blessings instead of curses. Good proclamations in your lives and the lives of others would do you much better than focusing on pessimism and negativity. The more we speak of good, the more we invite good and the better find us.
Life is just like a magnet, we attract what we are and we are our thoughts, the things that we feed our minds day in day out are the things that would manifest in our life, in our actions and inactions and it is these behavioral patterns and hobbies we develop as a result that would attract certain things and certain kinds of people into our lives. And so let's be mindful of the curse and blessing of the tongue for it holds tremendous power.
The word says we should let our mouth be of Grace and seasoned with salt. We should always be positive with the tongue.
