Happy Independence Day Indonesian People
Indonesia's independence on 17 August 1945 has now entered its 72nd age, having gained independence from the Dutch and Japanese occupations retreating after the atomic bomb explosion.
President Joko Widodo began to appear frequently on TV and talked about his achievements while leading the country. As usual the celebration of independence day filled with flag ceremonies in the state palace.
Aceh that had experienced a war between GAM and the Government of Indonesia, the "red and white" flag was flown in the front yard of the residents, a week before the people had been ordered to put a flag in front of the house through a loud speaker in the mosque.
There are also activities to enliven the day of independence, such as climbing areca nut, sack racing, eating crackers and so forth.
