Fatal Attraction
Lola could feel David's eyes on her but she ignored him as went about her rounds. She had learnt to ignore masculine attention early in life. Having men ogle her as though she was a brainless bimbo was offensive to her but her five-foot three height with large breasts and an equally large behind seemed to attract them in spades. She disliked her figure with a passion but it seemed she was stuck with it.
No matter what diet she tried or how much she worked out, she could never seem to get rid of the unwanted weight. She carefully avoided his table, letting another waitress take his order. He had been on her case for close to 3 months now, refusing to take no for an answer. She was determined not to give in to him regardless of the fact that she had begun to soften towards him. She had even begun to watch out for him, waiting for him to walk into the club and he rarely failed to show up.
Lola always did her best to ignore everyone including her co-workers and neighbors since she arrived in town a year ago. She refused to get to know people and refused to let people get to know her. No one knew where she was from nor what she had been through. She knew they saw her as bitchy and snobbish but she didn't care about their opinion. In fact, it suited her just fine and ensured that they kept their distance. She wanted no friends.
As soon as she had taken care of all her waiting clients, she dropped her tray and moved into the shadows. Her feet hurt from walking in heels for so long, all thanks to her weight, she thought. She slipped off her heels and flexed her toes, letting out a little mewling sound at the temporary relief. Her mewl turned into a startled yelp when she heard a voice in the shadows beside her.
“You've been all shades of nasty to me, but I wouldn't back off and I think you know it too. You have been alone too long, why not give me a chance? I won't hurt you.” David said.
Lola felt no fear, only a deep sense of longing. Liquid heat flowed right to her core at his physical closeness. She knew he would bring her a truckload of pleasure if she gave in but all the pleasure in the world wouldn't ease the heartache he’d surely cause when he became fed up as she knew he would. He leaned a little closer and she wondered at the intensity of her physical response to him.
“You want me Lola, I can feel it. Say yes and save us all the frustration” he said.
She folded her arms and gave him the dirtiest look she could summon, hoping it wasn't wasted in the darkness. For greater effect, she dropped her voice to its chilliest as she responded.
“No, I don’t. I’m exhausted and completely uninterested in your offer so piss off.”
He stared at her for what felt like an eternity until she began to squirm slightly, wondering if he was going to try to kiss her against her will. Just when she was beginning to feel like her blood had turned into molten magma in her veins, he chuckled and walked away looking amused. She couldn't help the feeling of relief mixed with hurt and disappointment as she watched his retreating back.
