Shakib returns, new surprise Afif
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the team for the first of two Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka. All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has returned to the 15-member squad announced. Aff Hossain has been called in the team after showing great shock in U-19 World Cup. He is the ICC's best emerging star in the Youth World Cup due to all-round craft.
There are also a few more new players in the team. Among them Ariful Haque, Zakir Hasan, Abu Zahed Rahi and Mehdi Hassan. The match will be held in Mirpur on February 15.
Bangladesh team: Shakib Al Hasan (capt), Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Abu Haider Rony, Abu Zahed Rahi, Ariful Haque, Mehdi Hasan, Zakir Hasan and Afif Hossain.
