An Item on my Bucket List Checked: My Helicopter Ride Experience!

I’d be so glad to share to you a one of a kind and stupendous experience. When I was still a child, I used to wave on helicopters and airplanes everytime they pass by. I never expected the thought that I can experience on riding a helicopter, ‘though I already am expecting that I can ride a plane.

I was really destined to experience this kind of stuff because I was able to enjoy this for free. This experience is made possible by my friend, a pilot. He was a having a test flight from Lapu-Lapu City going to Lahug, Cebu City. He invited me to ride with him and I never hesitated to refuse. It was one of the most amazing 12 minute ride of my life.

I was tensed at the first several minutes. My tummy felt ticklish when we were bound higher but when we got it to the higher altitude, the flight went smoother and I felt relieved. This time, I already managed to smile and took a priceless selfie.

Rooftops on buildings, trees and mountains seems so reachable from the inside of the chopper. Compared from riding a plane, I can appreciate the view more when riding a helicopter because it travels slower in lower altitudes and it has a wider and clearer window pane.

We can’t barely hear our voices because of the noise of the main rotor which are the large blades that are spinning at the top of the plane. But good thing we have our headphones on that made them hear how I reacted upon amazement and appreciated the ride.

When we arrived in our destination, the army’s camp in Lahug in Cebu City, I can see that there’s an army guiding the pilot when we were slowly going down. And I can sense that the ending of this experience is about to come.
