Good day my follow steemians today i will love to write on the topic economic empowerment through agriculture,but first of all what is economic empowerment. Economic empowerment simply means putting money into one's hand, whatever one does to earn money to be able to solve his needs.
Economic empowerment could also be seen as making one to earn a living. There are three basic necessities of life (food, clothing, shelter),yet man has other needs that make life comfortable. He needs money for education,health,etc.whatever he does to provide this money is regarded as having economically empowered him.

Economic empowerment through agriculture
Agriculture provides a means of economic empowerment up to 75% of the population in diverse ways . Some people are empowered through involvement with some aspects of agricultural production,while others earn their living by working in the agro-based industries that make use of agricultural raw materials; yet,some are invited in marketing and research.

Ways of economic empowerment through agriculture
Agriculture can put money into people's hand to solve their problem.

• Rearing livestock: The rearing of livestock provides a whole lot of products which could be sold to earn money; e.g,meat,milk,skin,manure,etc.
  Empowerment is also provided as farm attendants and farm managers.
• Cultivating crops: food crops like yam, plantain,maize, Millet. Cash crops like cotton clothes, beverages,palm oil, groundnut,are sold to earn a living.
• Sales of farm produce: some people earn their living through small-scale or large marketing of agriculture produce,as wholesalsers or as retailers.
• Rendering services: there are a whole lot of services that are related to agriculture through which one can earn a living. People who are hired to do such work are duly paid.
  Examples:
• Farm cultivation
• Weeding of the farm
• Harvesting of crops
• Packaging of agricultural products
• Loading/unloading of produce
• Veterinary services.
• *** Skills acquisition***: education of farmers through workshops and seminars,teaching of new skills in aspects of agricultural production not only provide a Living for the teachers but also equip the learners with saleable skills that make them earn a living
