LIVING WATER DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

Topic: TAKE POSSESSION
Read: Deuteronomy 1:20-31

MEMORISE: Look, the Lord your God has set the land before you; go up and possess it, as the Lord God of your fathers has spoken to you; do not fear or be discouraged.' (Deuteronomy 1:21)

EXPOSITION
As God continued to lead His people from Egypt, through the wilderness to the Promised Land, they eventually got to the verge of the Land. Moses began to charge them regarding all that God has been telling them as touching His programme for them. Our text for today falls in this discourse.

God has given His people a commission - to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19). The Father gives different opportunities to each believer, so we all can fulfil His command in unique ways. Since He does not provide us with an open door, unless He intends for us to go (in and possess) it, stopping at the threshold is disobedience. Sometimes what little we can see on the other side looks frightening. But if the Lord is calling, then we need to do what He asks instead of hesitating at the doorway. He assumes full responsibility for properly equipping and guiding us to complete the task.

Are you standing in a doorway, too scared to move on? Step forward in faith, today. God gave the opportunity, and He is faithful to see you safely through it, regardless of the obstacles. Nothing can stop you, except you stop yourself from taking the possession of everything the Lord has ordained for you. Disallow fear and other negative emotions from depriving you of God's blessings.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Pray for missionaries who are sweating it out in the mission fields, that they would take possession of those land for the Lord Jesus.
2. Lord, give me the grace to step forward in faith and make use of the opportunities I have for Your work.
3. I possess everything God has programmed for me, in Jesus' name.
