Xgirl Competition Highlights!

Still waiting on my bike parts so I thought I would post about my experience in the competition thus far! It has been a great experience and I look forward to the next events. These are highlights from the Kick off event when Chevelle played!

It was great to see our photographer out[pic above]! He was amazing to work with and really did a great job with all of us. He was very direct and that's the type of photographer I work best with. I feel more confident in the work if they know what they are looking for in each shot.   

It has been a really fun experience so far and even making a friend out of it has been a true highlight! She and I know one another indirectly which is pretty interesting. Now knowing another strong, independent woman is really great support to have.  I mentioned this website to her and hopefully she will join!

Chevelle was AMAZING! I love this band and have followed their music for a long time. I really enjoyed watching them and snapped some awesome pictures!! I was impressed with my S7's photo quality especially with the low light! The above photo is not edited at all! I wanted to but thought the picture captured the band well.

 My friends were there to support me and I loved spending every minute with them. I was so happy they came out and we all got to enjoy the show together! They've been such good friends and I know without them this experience wouldn't have been as great =D .

This experience will be a "marathon" that is because there are a lot of events we have to partake in for this event. It's a way for them to promote and we help by visiting with people. It is a good experience and opportunity to learn about promo modeling. I am hoping to have more opportunities come from this possibly and that would be so great!

The next steps will be going to a few events and also being on air to talk about the competition. Sort of nerve wracking but really a good way to get out of my comfort zone and try something totally different! Luckily we won't have to go shopping for more clothes! Which will be great because then I can ride to the events! I had to find a top for the kick off event and struggled to find something that represented the event well. I was able to find something and caught a Blastoise at the Mall too haha win win :).
I can't wait to continue sharing more about this experience and my bike build! I contacted the crash cage/sprocket kit items I ordered week or 2 ago. They stated they should be here within the week! I will be working on my brake lines this weekend [oo a new burn out video maybe?!] and upload a short video clip and photos :).
