Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones Preview

Stygian is a turn based RPG with point and click adventure elements. The game is still in it's development phase and it should be released in 2019. I've tried the demo of the game, and I got to say the game seems very promising. This is another one of those low budget games from Kickstarter, but don't let that fool you, this is a very atmospheric game where you will meet a lot of eldrich horrors from H.P. Lovecraft books. In this game your character will need to fight against all sorts of monstrosities and maintain his sanity in a small town casted inside another dimension.

In this monstrous place you will create a character and fight your demons, visions and mad humans infected by the insanity of the elder gods. Seems interesting doesn't it? Character creation is very interesting and you can chose several archetypes like soldier, explorer, academic, ocultist etc. and use their particular skills to survive in this mad world where grandfather Cthulhu lives. Heavily stylized art direction of the game, as you can see from screenshots, will be great to explore further once the full game releases. If you're fan of H.P. Lovecraft this game will be something you will have to experience.
