Quality of Life Proposition For Steemit
When exploring New feed with waves of new users things tend to be overwhelming for finding quality blogs. Option for hiding certain tags would help a lot. For example, muting tags that do not interest me, like muting languages other than English would be great, or any tag that is not something you want to see like NSFW tag, religion, fake news, just take your pick.
Option to mute certain tags that are not their speciality would be great for curators finding quality blogs. Just think about it how it would improve things. If we can mute users, muting tags would be a great feature to have. I don't know if this feature is in the works but it would certainly be a nice feature to have.
Yea more filters would be nice, filter by rep, filter by account age things like that
I hope with time we will have those filters, I would not use filter by rep cause that would hide great new authors, but it would certainly be a nice option to have.
would also hide spammy bad authors, you would likely only miss the first 1 or 2 posts by a great new author
You can just mute spammy users now.
That's a great option. As you mentioned, with all the new users coming in, this would be a good feature to have to scroll to things you actually like. I hope de developers take this into consideration!
Yes, they will certainly have to consider that option.
Yes this option would really come in handy. The more Steemit grows the more this will be necessary I think. We have our interests, whether subjects-related or member-related. Can't wait for a feature of this nature to emerge.

A few month ago I posted something on the options of selecting/muting tags.
Too bad it is still not possible.

Great ideas, it is hard to choose though because there are so many good writers in this community!
Got to filter many of the tags to keep the new feed manageable. This will be needed later on.
