April Fools Day In Gaming

This is the day when trolling is tolerable and every year we can see some serious gaming companies have fun. There have been times when you get suckered into believing in one of the "scams" of april fools day. Gaming devs have been particularly active in this regard and it could be seen many times. EA even anounced Battle For Middle Earth 3 just to mess with the fans. Here are some of my gaming april fools day experiences. 

Blizzard is one of the gaming companies that had very popular gaming spoofs. For example the whole Pandaren race was april fools joke for Warcraft 3. Who knew that one day Blizzard will make Mists of Pandaria, huge expansion pack for World of Warcraft featuring Pandarens as a new race.

Blizzard also released Starcraft 2 videos of Tauren Marines, mix of Warcraft and Starcraft unit.

 Monstrosity named Terra-Tron is also one of the april fools jokes from Blizzard.

Gazillion Entertainment completely surprised the players of Marvel Heroes MMOARPG with playable Taskmaster. I remember the day, it was like new Christmas. Not every developer will troll their players and not give anything, this guys actually made a surprise playable character.
