On 30th August I went to Kolkata with one of my friend who had her interview there . We had a train at 6:10 a.m. So getting up at 4:00 a.m. I took bath got ready had a cup of tea and left for the station.
The departure time of our train was 6:10 a.m. and guess what it was my first time when I was allowed to go into another state with my friend I have never traveled to any other state without my family but this time I was so happy and enjoyed the trip a lot.
The view from the train was very soothing as one can see the real beauty of nature while travelling to Kolkata by train. I could not stop myself from capturing some pictures of nature which I am going to share with you all.

At 9:30 a.m. we had a breakfast of Puri and gravy paneer which was made by my friend's mom and was very delicious. We reached to Kolkata at 10:30 a.m. and the weather was very hot there was a lot of humidity which did not allowed us to roam in the city so we went to stay at one of our friend's house .
As we were too tired we slept for an hour and then we went to a nearby temple located at her neighbourhood area.
At 4:30 p.m. we got ready and went to the visit a Holi river Ganga the view of the river was mesmerizing. I also captured the picture of the sunset which enhanced the beauty of the river or rather you can say the beauty of the place and we got very positive Vibes there .

we all Indians know that Kolkata is very famous for its sweets also known as "Rosogolla" so we went to first sweet shop where we had chole bhature and rabdi with gulab jamun. It was a famous shop and all the foods there is so delicious .
We returned back to our friends house at 10:30 p.m. after visiting some of the places in Kolkata which was worth visiting we also so some old houses the foundation of which was laid at the time of Britishers.
So this is how I spent my first day in Kolkata and as I was too tired I was unable to verify or write any post
so I slept. We all must plan small trips from our boring daily routine as it refreshes our mood.

Yes we enjoyed a lot but the weather conditions did not allowed us to go out of the house!

I had been in Kolkata for a long time (and have visited your city too, almost all your state). Yes, I agree some places in Kolkata are really beautiful. The River Ganges known as Hubli in this part of the country is really wide and beautiful and a journey by steamer makes it even better. Loved your pics and the details.
