Humility / Self Unworthiness

I've done things the past four months that I would have never done which includes meeting new people. I've built relationships with some of the best peeps I have ever met and they are also among the most talented and generous. Artists, writers, poets, health advisors, photographers, crypto geniuses, masterminds and leaders; all are unique and kick ass humans.
While these people are unique, they all have one very special thing in common. Humility. I have never seen so many special people doing so many special things and never want recognition. And not just special things; special things that actually make a difference. Humility is one of the best qualities to have and my friends and family, who I only know by voice and small avatars and pictures, are the most humble people I know.

I used to be that meek person. I have always felt it to be a bad personality flaw because it always attracted the wrong kind of people to my life. They were predators, taking advantage of the person that I am. It has taken me a while to feel like the proud person I’ve been lately and to realize my own self worth as to not let people walk all over me. Unfortunately people usually suck and if they see that they can use you they will. Humility is important but on the other hand, realizing my own self worth has been the best thing for me to realize.
In conclusion; stay humble my friends, but please realize your worth and know exactly what it is that you bring to the table. You are worth respect and praise and so much more!

It's funny how life's ebbs and flows make that statement sometimes easy and sometimes difficult.
It's so important to know your worth and not let those stumblings in life devastate you.
Humility vs confidence is a tricky balance.

Yes @tamala ... it may be a bit tricky, but once you find that balance, I believe it's fairly easy to maintain.. or at least it has been for me... for the most part... and let me tell you babe... it wasn't that long ago that you helped one of your family members through a difficult time without searching for gratitude and without serching for recognition.. without even being asked.. you reached out a hand because that's what was in you.. and I hope that you know your value .. to me, to all of your peeps.. you rock!! Thank you Tam! ❤❤❤

I find that people who praise too much are suspect, over friendly two faces. This is one of the reasons I never served tables who seemed to happy when they came in the door more than none they do not tip much because bucko thinks his jokes and smiles mean something .

I liked to serve the grumpy old men they never chatted and told you exactly what they wanted, if you brought it faster than usual fine but never later. If you brought it faster than usual you also get a customer that asks for you and always tips. They still did not expect anything more but knew they would not get less.
"Quiet" praise speaks louder than "adoration" it also tends to serve very well to instill
fearhumility and thus is a world where each know their worth but also know to stay in check because old grumpy men don't care for your bragging they just want there steak on time or less.Well Pen, you can be suspect all you want. If I want to praise all of you because you never praise yourself then that's what I will do. You guys rock and I know... it's good to be humble.. by all means, stay humble, I will sing your praises for you. I mean really, it's not like you guys are bringing steak to the table.. If you want to exercise quiet praise... ok... I freaking adore you guys and think y'all rock so 🤪🤪🤪 nah lol
I can attest to that. Oh wait, wrong context! I appreciate you dedicated the first half of the post to the people you've met here. A lot of us are here for the community more than anything personal, and that makes it such an amazing experience.
I like how you also mentioned and emphasized self-worth (I knew you would get my poem, even though I hadn't read this yet). We are so alike!
Hahaha there he is!! It's an awesome thing to see the people I've gotten to know grow and create and just be magnificent and be so humble ... the community does make this something very special.. I really feel like we are family.
You know the connection we have... and you make me very proud Jeremy! You will do awesome things and I'm glad I get to witness you grow. I don't know if you get tired of hearing that... I don't get tired of saying it. My family is freaking awesome!!
I never get tired of hearing that. I definitely consider you as a maternal figure (one that truly cares because there are no real bonds of blood or whatever), so I do appreciate all the things you say <3

It's important for us to know this difference. We often get self worth mixed up with humility when it has no business in there.
Knowing our self worth is giving praise to our creator. Humility is knowing that mighty power of the creator to move us to great heights despite ourselves.
At least it's how this idea is comprehended in my mind.
