Lovely photos in B&W. Now you have wetted our appetite for more on Beatrix Potter. 😊

Thanks Jo, I'm working on the Beatrix Potter post.

Those are great mountains and they look good in monochrome! Love the timelapse! Thanks for sharing with Mountain Monday. Voted & resteemed :-)

Thanks Keith, they do look pretty dramatic in monochrome. The timelapse was quite a mission with the Canon 70D DSLR with something like 200 seperate shots captured using an intervalometer that I had to stitch together using photoshop to get it into a video format.

I could have done the whole thing with my 15 year old Sony Hi 8 camcorder in one simple operation? We live and learn. Newer tech isn't always better?

Thanks for the upvote and resteem :-)

It's more satisfying when you do it this way. It's been a while since I experimented with the intervalometer and stitching in photoshop, but I've done exactly that. Maybe instead of a camcorder it would make sense to shoot video from the DSLR? My problem when I tried timelapse was I always stopped to double check the exposure or focus or something, so then I would have to start all over again! :-) Maybe doing it on a mirrorless where you see the exposure in the viewfinder would eliminate my issue?

There is always the option to shoot a 15 minute video using the DSLR and then just speed it up x 16 in post and save the output as a new video. It looks just as good as a timelapse and I suppose it's more or less the same pricipal?
Mirrorless seems like a good idea too. :-)

Beautiful photos and you know I have been waiting for more about Beatrix Potter.

Beatrix Potter was a very interesting and inspirational person and her achievements are super impressive apart from the books. Full write up coming soon.

I am looking forward to it and will love seeing more of your photos!

beautiful photography, thanks to share your previous travel story.

Howdy sir molometer! wow I love castles! And that first shot is amazing compared to the second one when you can see all the details that you mentioned.
That castle is open for tours or do you have special connections? lol.

Thanks @janton, yep the castle is open to the public. I'll cover the interior in a future post. It is quite impressive.

Howdy today sir molometer! oh that sounds wonderful, can't wait to see it!
