Beware of low flying aircraft
It's not everyday that you see a low flying aircraft? But this is taking it to a whole new 'low level!' :-) I photographed this amazing sight on the way to pick up my grandson from nursery.
Of course there is no need to worry. This Jet is not doing some mad aerobatics. It's parked up and on display at RAF Alconbury in Huntingdonshire.
If you are wondering why a USAF Jet is sitting on the lawn here in rural England then let me explain.
This airforce base opened in 1938 and has been used jointly by the RAF and USAF since the second world war. For those of you that are interested. Check this out Deep dive details

And just in case some local nardowells feel like climbing on it after a night on the sauce it has the obligatory safety warnings! You have been warned...It's a Jet! Not for climbing on.
Health and Safety
Now that is some kind of impressive lawn ornament. Don't you think? :-)
However, some climbing plants that don't know to read might recall ... flowers, not weapons!

She certainly is a very impressive looking jet @molometer and well preserved for her age.
It was a bit of a surprise find to be honest. It's not what you would expect to see driving along a country road but very pleasant to find it. It is a remarkable state of preservation. I assume the airbase looks after it pretty well.
That is one impressive lawn ornament. :P
Isn't it just? Imagine my surprise when I saw it along a country lane? lol
