Saturday Nuggets : Does success amount to wisdom?
When we go for parties, occasions or ceremonies, the disparity in attention which is usually in favor of the rich is always obvious.
I was at a party recently, which had in attendance a top business man. There was a lot of eating and drinking, and when the party was drawing to a close, a man stood up to give a speech.
He had barely made five sentences and half the crowd had given their attention away back to food and careless talk. The other half started clamouring for him to get down from the podium that he was making no sense.
Now, the business man climbs the stage, everyone goes quiet and all attention was focused towards him. The reason for this, I'll never know.
What was more painful was that the business man just repeated what the earlier speaker had just said business man received a standing ovation.
When asked for advice for the youths, he started saying basically any rubbish that came into his mind for example " don't work for money, look for a rich man and money will work for you"
To me, that made no sense but yet everyone around me was just nodding their heads in agreement to what he was saying.
Maybe it's just me , I don't know. What do you think?
This could mean many things to many people. High-paid prostitutes would agree with this.
There are many, who are not of this profession, who live by this principle.
Perhaps he meant:
Look for a rich man who believes in your product, ‘what you’re marketing’…and he will support your cause to the degree that he's able to grow it financially.
Money is just a commodity.
Conscience is a part of the soul.
Whatever means of financial attainment gives one the most peace, I say go with that.
Unfortunately, many have seared consciences; and, the peace they have is faux contentment.
For some strange reason, the Bible verse Matthew 19:24 comes to mind:
It's easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle; than a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven.

I think I've found a new way to look at things.
