The Marriage counsel

A colleague of mine asked me to listen to a marriage counselling slot on the radio. I reluctantly oblidged and protested that it is usually directed to women anyway. I paid attention, I was however not suprised when the speaker started by adressing women and how they need to care for their marriages. Why I asked myself, when it is two people who to the alter thatt make the marital vows, why is it that when it come to keeping it together and maintaning the marrige, it then becomes a woman's role.
A happy Marriage takes two, the improvemets and adjustments needed to keep it going takes the two people involved.
It is a complemetary companionship, no one is better the other.( Strengthening Marriage guide manual)
