In this article I want to introduce you to a new IBM project that aims to create new Ethereum developers and above all to make it easier for those who are approaching blockchain for the first time.

Last May 18, 2017, the famous IBM company announced the launch of the IBM BlockBack Foundation Founder Accelerator (IBMBFA), a program designed to help Ethereum developers - and not only - to do their job faster, providing expertise Technological, legal and business.

According to the press release, the program addresses the challenges ahead of so-called "early adopters" between Ethereum Developer and, in general, all those who are just about to approach blockchain technology.

IBMFA will provide direct support for a range of needs including business development, membership incentives, technical development, governance and legal issues.

IBMBFA members will also have access to pre-built software and provided by the IBM Cloud.

Marie Wieck, manager of IBM blockchain technology, explained that the company is very focused on the development of blockchain technology:

"Blockchain is like a sports team. With the right network of participants who work on the blockchain, the benefits can be exponential. IBM has worked on various blockchain projects with other industry partners and we understand what challenges organizations are facing and the resources they need to set work initially on blockchaining networks. "

IBMBFA offers two types of membership:

Subscription 1: Cost $ 100,000 and Provides:

  • Design Thinking Workshop;
  • Early access to IBM Blockchain High-Security Business Network on Bluemix;
  • Access to blockchain asset software pre-built by IBM;
  • Courses and support from IBM developers and architects;
  • Monthly lessons with blockchain experts;
  • Potential to win up to $ 120,000 of Bluemix credits;
  • Co-marketing Opportunities with IBM.

Subscription 2, which costs $ 250,000. It delivers all the benefits of the first subscription and also includes 6 weeks of MVP buildout with Bluemix Garage, a consulting platform to help companies design, develop, and publish smarter applications using, for example, services such as IBM Design Thinking, Lean Startup And Agile DevOps.

IBM explained that asset software has been embedded in major projects such as "globalization of global trade, supply chains, transactions, food security," and much more.

The initial software suite will include:

Archive for Documents - allows members to archive and control documents and their events in a secure environment. This provides a validation resource to support business processes where lack of appropriate documentation can cause delays and potential cancellation of the transaction.
Proven - Preserves a global asset history, both in physical and digital form, through their lifecycle, from the creation to dismantling as immutable transactions. It provides the ability to trace asset ownership, site and status, and each asset-relevant document for each business process step.
Process - Provides the entire workflow orchestration on the blockchain network. Provides a service to ensure that documents are not tampered with and responds to communication requests between network members to support the integrity of each transaction.
Member Management and Onboardig - It allows the management of member identities within the network blockchain, including registration and authorization of members of organizations and their individual users.
