Lablabi ( Tunisian dish)

Lablabi is a popular dish in Tunisia, prepared with chickpeas, garlic, cumin or caraway, olive oil, salt, pepper and harissa. The name comes from the Turkish leblebi, meaning "grilled chickpeas".

My chichpeas when added in to food always ends up tasting bland. Which spices do you often use for chickpease? =)
