Hello Again fellow Stemians!

This time i am going to tell you about the efforts that were done by a lot of NGO to save the animals!

Back in 2011 after Egyptian revolution also known as the (Arab spring), Animal conditions were horrible, cause animal owners cared for them from the money earned from tourists. there was ZERO tourists in the country and so there was no money to care for the animals, especially in the pyramids area horses and animals owners were being boycut by the egyptian people due to their effort to stop the revolution and helping the late Mubarak Regime.

I was one of the lucky people that tried to make something to stop this, I volunteered in an animal shelter Called ESMA ( Egyptian Society For Mercy To Animals). we used to help all animals, from stray Dogs and cats to Horses and camels in the pyramids.

People at the pyramids had no money to feed their family, so imagine what animals had to do to get food. They lived in horrible conditions some of them were left in the desert to die cause there was nothing else to do for them. We tried to do as much as we could, we had a feeding team that got tons of food to the be distributed on the animal owners. we had a medical team that i was part of we treated the animals wounds and we had professional vets with us that reated anything the animals had, we made sure that animals were fed daily. we had a file for every horse and they were seen periodically by our vets and medical team.
