  1. Toxic friendship: Being taken advantage of by a "friend" who consistently makes unreasonable requests, teaching the importance of settings boundaries.

What is your advice for those who still struggle to give No as an answer:

  1. Practice saying no: Start small, like declining a second helping of food or saying no to a minor request.
  2. Identify your boundaries: Clarify what you're comfortable with and what you're not.
  3. Use assertive language: Say "I appreciate the request, but I'll have to say no" or "I'm not comfortable with that."
  4. Offer alternatives: If possible, suggest another solution or offer help in a different way.
  5. Don't over explain: A simple "no" or "I'm not able to" is enough; avoid justifying or apologizing excessively.
  6. Remember, "no" is a complete sentence: You don't owe anyone an explanation.
  7. Prioritize self-care: Remember that saying no to others means saying yes to yourself.
  8. Set clear expectations: Communicate your boundaries and expectations clearly to others.
  9. Be firm but polite: Say no with kindness and respect, but maintain your boundary.
  10. Celebrate small wins: Acknowledge and celebrate each time you successfully say no!

Conclusion:

Remember, saying no is a skill that takes time and practice to develop. Be patient and kind to yourself as you work. thank you
