Emerald Launcher is a simple home screen for Android phones. It is open source, get the source code at https://github.com/HenriDellal/emerald . It provides some features to make it easy to use.

For logotype typeface I used free font Futura Md BT bold and Futura Md BT medium.

BENEFITS / IMPROVEMENTS

This new proposed logo is combination octagonal and wrench tool in hiden object. I created letter "E" for Emerald by trim octagonal with wrench; Wrench represents to setting, in this case setting background, theme or home screen on android. By renewing Emerald Launcher's logo, I want to make a modern logo instead of simple icon, so user will interested with this application.

TOOLS

To design this icon logo, I use the application CorelDraw X7. I think CorelDraw app is easy for me to use then another apps similar like CorelDraw.
