Endless sea brings foes to watch
Predators that rival Illuminati
Sadistic socialites, tonight illegal
Together the conned and the regal
Every day of sinful aroma
Invisible deeds remaining subocular
No hero knows of this home of villainy
Daring to escape, like a coded acrostic
I swam for a time till I lost the will
Drowning in memories of Mississippi
Now they take me back to the kiln
The island gives love I do not want
Kindling me for the inferno
I stay my heart and reality abandon
Living only in states so lurid
Leasing life in hopes of wifi
Hoping to escape this place so horrid
I hold on to hope to be free of this plight
My skin no longer mine to touch
Sleep comes with danger so
every day blends like a portmanteau
Low-life souls, my parts, they tug
For these souls to taste pain, is my last and dying wish
So I started writing this back when the Epstein memes were everywhere. I read an article which had the story from one of the victims, and I was inspired to write. At some point I got stuck, and I just finished it up the other day.
I apologize for the herky-jerky rhythm of the piece. It was the best I could do while meeting the criteria of the double acrostic.
For those who may not know, an acrostic is a type of poem in which the letters of the line (usually the first letter) form a message to the reader. In the case of this poem, there is a message at the beginning and another with the ending letter.

Did you know there are several acrostic poems in the Psalms?
Actually, I did not know that. Can you point them to me?
If I remember correctly, Psalm 119 and Psalm 8...
