Screw it, we're doing it!
Have you ever wanted to sell all of your stuff, buy a RV and just get out of this rat race we call life?
Well that's exactly what my fiance and I decided to do earlier this week!
I know what your thinking, that's CRAZY, right?
Maybe it is!?! But we only get one shot at this life so we thought we might as well try to enjoy it.
I definitely don't want to look back on my life and regret not trying new, exciting things that are potentially much more fulfilling than working myself into retirement.
I've always wanted to travel the world, but as I got into my 30s I started to give up on that dream thinking I had missed my window to be young and dumb.
Apparently I didn't miss anything, I just showed up late ;)
We really want to travel the entire world eventually, but we have to start somewhere.
We decided to start by seeing what America has to offer.
Although we have both lived here our entire lives, like most we have barely explored anything the states have to offer.
One of the biggest list we have is to see ALL of the national parks in the country!
I think there are 54 parks in all, so we won't be able to hit them all the first time around but its an awesome goal.
We are so excited to try new foods, experience different cultures and being closer to nature.
We plan to donate a lot our time helping people and spreading happiness as much as possible.
We've decided we want to "be the change we want to see in the world"
There is nothing more exciting to me then having new experiences, meeting new people and trying new things.
I believe life is made up of memories and experiences, not by money or by materialistic things.
In that sense, this action of selling most of our material items makes us truly rich.
But just in case that doesn't feed us, I better step up my blog game on steemit! lol ;)
The best part of this is we want to share it ALL with our steemit friends!
There will be plenty of blog entries, photography and videos to keep every feeling like they are on this journey with us modern day hippies! So follow me and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

We tried to save up the money for a while and just couldnt seem to ever save enough in this terrible economy.. Then we realized if we just let go of our house then we would be free from all the debt (slavery) and we could actually start enjoying life being truly free ;) sometimes u just gotta jump in with both feet and let the universe take care of the rest. Good luck ;)
the universe always seems to have perfect timing even though we sometimes feel otherwise. who knows, maybe we'll cross paths as we're adventuring around lol!

As fellow traveler spending much of my money to visit Australia and blog about it. I get exactly what you mean. I am going to follow you out of true interest and tips/tricks. Learn from your mistakes or successes aswhile as improve my own postings!

Some say that this idea of yours is crazy, but then again it is your life. You must live with it according to the way you want it. Im so excited to hear your wonderful journey as you travel along.

Oh nice! Thanks for the reply. I plan to do a post soon about why we chose Panama! There were quite a few reasons - new culture for the kids, learn Spanish, family oriented culture, job reasons, and lots more. My husband researched for a year before deciding on Panama and at first, I was very against it. But now I really like it here. We have been here 6 months and already have settled in pretty well.
wow, how exciting! how are you doing on learning a new language? is it easier since you are surrounded by it, or do lots of people speak english there? sorry bout all the questions, maybe i should just wait for ur post ;)
Ask away. I'm always happy to answer questions about our crazy life. The good thing about Panama is A LOT of people speak at least some English and there are quite a few that speak lots of it. I already speak Spanish (it was my major in college and I taught it for 6 years at a 1st year level). My husband and kids do not speak Spanish, so they are slowly learning. If we had Spanish speaking friends for them to play with, it would be better and faster, but we live in a neighborhood where kids don't live at the moment. My husband is picking it up slowly through talking to contractors as we work on fixing up our house. :)
