Facebook may be changing company name

According to The Verge, the internet behemoth is set to announce a revamp that would include a name change.

According to the article, the move would unite Facebook and other apps such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus under a new umbrella firm with a new name. This resembles the organization of Alphabet, Google's parent firm.

On Oct. 28, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg will speak about the rebranding at the company's Connect conference.
