The task request asked for a new menu bar, visually exactly the same as the menu bar on the user profile pages.
I implemented it by first simply copying the UserMenu.js/less files and renaming them to MainMenu.js/less and then adding this new component to Page.js which is responsible for displaying the main feed pages, where the menu should appear.
The first three links are simple html links to youtube.com and the last four links link to internal pages (posts) and are therefore handled by Javascript to avoid unnecessary page/app reloading.
There was a unintended spacing in the carousel in the header. It wasn't visible before because there was some space anyway but now there was a small space between the header and the new menu.
I fixed that by setting the display property of a certain div container in the carousel to block instead of inline-block.
That's it!
