is that true?, i mean i am sure the UI need to be upgraded.
even it is updated in 2011, it has some great circuits, I mean circuits not 'circles'. It has some mind-blowing projects too. Go and vote the hunt. Drink coffee while voting..jpg)
The tools are more complex and much more difficult to understand IMO. I think its better to stick to something you already learned something from it than to choose a freeware but its complicated.
Being a graduated engineering student, I know how difficult it is to design a PCB. During my college years, we had to do this by hand. It's nice to know there's already a product like this available to help engineering students.
I wish the hunt included a video demonstrating the use of the product.
Seems like a useful platform for electronic designers and hobbyist. It is a free tool that can be used to create PCB designs for your projects. Easy to use too, but needs to be more polished as we can find many good tools like this free.

For those who are scratching your heads; PCB stands for printed circuit board.
And freepcb might be the choice for work on the run!
FreePCB can easily be used, simplified UI and can be the go to platform for engineers in a hurry or for a simple small projects.
3 things I loved the most:
-Ample work field(60x60 inches)
-Has a design rule checker for us hasty idiots
-Autosave (which is key for such a pcb editor!)
More over can I say again how simple the UI feels?
More over it's free? And has a very cooperative and up to date update forum on their website!

A free to download tool for PCB designing. Seems like it has all the required features and easy to use too.
