So many schools of thoughts have defined love in many different ways Wikiquotes defined Love as an act which encompasses a variety of different emotional and mental states, typically strongly and positively experienced, ranging from the most sublime virtue or good habit, the deepest interpersonal affection and to the simplest pleasure.
Cambridge dictionary defined Love in two ways as;

1. to like another adult very much and be romantically and sexually attracted to them, or to have strong feelings of liking a friend or person in your family:
2. to like something very much

   a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.

But all the above definitions can be summarised as a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes that ranges from interpersonal affection ("I love my mother") to pleasure ("I loved that meal"). It can refer to an emotion of a strong attraction and personal attachment. It can also be a virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection—"the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another". It may also describe compassionate and affectionate actions towards other humans, one's self or animals.
An example of this range of meanings is that the love of a mother differs from the love of a spouse differs from the love of food. Most commonly, love refers to a feeling of strong attraction and emotional attachment.

Why do people love?
A question that receives quite a bit of attention in the psychological literature is why people fall in love. One promising answer is that romantic love occurs when the attributes that generate general attraction and the social factors and circumstances that produce passion are particularly strong. But this time let's talk about why do people love,I may have some suggestions to that question

People love because it makes them to see themselves as a better human being and people also love because it inspires them to grow, and to give and to accept.

People love because their soul calls together.

We love that one person because when we find him/her, we find ourselves.

There is no better feeling than to be loved by someone you truly love proportionally.

There are no other solutions to making the world a better place rather than loving each other unconditionally because,love encompasses tribe,religion, ethnicity,believe,race and every other factor or characteristic dividing the human race.
