The Diary Game #54: Share Your Day With Us [25/08/2024]

Good morning my beloved steemians across the globe, it's a new week already and I wish everyone of us here a fruitful week ahead, I pray may the good Lord make us find favour in the sight of God and man. HOW I SPENT MY YESTERDAY (25/08/2024

At Church With @tripple-e

Morning Session

I found Myself waking up very late that morning at about 7:30am, so so unusual and I was so angry at myself yet I couldn't know why it happened so, as if that wasn't enough, I was now having the thought of staying back from church without no solid reason.

That was how I started feeling lazy about doing my morning chores and getting prepared for church, but within my heart there was that still-voice whispering to me to dress up and go to church, by now it was already few minutes passed 8am. So I stood up from the bed sluggishly went about my morning chores, I even forgot to play a song on my playlist, I mean the song we are to minister in the choir, I think maybe it's because I knew that I won't be able to meet up with the ministration.

So when I was done preparing for church, it was was about few minutes passed 9am, I was still not comfortable going to church but because i was still listening tho that still-little-voice inside of me saying "Love Your Place Belong In The Church, Oya Go To Church" that was why I some up courage to go.

Immediately I got to church I meet at the time some members were bearing their testimony, to show how late I was, praise, worship and all the choirs ministration has finished. I was even ashamed to enter into the church even to sit at the choir stand.

Thanks to my girlfriend who was outside waiting for me, she helped carried my handbag and place where there was an empty seat at the choir stand for me, that was when I said to myself "It's better late than never", I moved straight to my seat and sat so uncomfortably, because I wasn't used to sitting there.

The preaching starting, that was when I began to release myself and feel at home because that was actually my father's house, so I have every right to feel at home in my father's house.

The topic of the sermon was actually for me which was: Dealing with delay, I can see why God forced me out of the hoise to come to church. The Bible portion was taken from the book of Ezekiel 12:21-23.

My pastor takes on so many important points, he gave us value points on what to do when delay seems to be staring at our face, the very important one I picked was He said we should keep our eyes on the goal, looking beyond the moment and knowing that no man can hinder the purpose of God in our life.

After my pastor was done with that wonderful sermon, I was totally fulfilled that I came to church despite how late I was, I now know why people say "It's better late than never", so i was glad i came.

Afternoon Session

When the church dismissed, we stepped outside to take some photographs, that was when everyone came around me to ask why I came to church that late, I just couldn't explain to them, but I was able to mutter some words God is in control.

After all the pictures section, I and my girlfriend went and entered a bus to go home, while inside the bus I decided to take one shot for the road.

As we were going on the way, the bus driver took permission to enter the fuel station to refill his car tank, thank God there was no queue at the fuel station, so he was able to make it fast out of there

After then the driver proceeded with the journey till we reached my destination. My friend came with me to my house to unwhine herself for some hours before she can go back to her house, I'm always happy to have her stopped by my house.

As we got home, removed soup from the freezer and make it to defroze so that I can prepare garri for us to eat.

As we were done eating I begged her to help loosen my hair for me because it was long overdue and I won't be able to carry it again throughout the next week.

Evening Session

Though it was late already and she wanted going back early so that she can do one or two things for herself in the house before sleeping, but I was able to compile her to finished loosening my hair due it was still against her will.

Before she was done with my hair, it was already dark, when I wanted to walk her down to the bus stop for her to pick a tricycle, she said she wants to buy some stuff from the supermarket, so I walked her there to buy her stuff

After she finished buying, we now walked back to where she boarded a tricycle back to her house and now walked back to my own house.

As I entered my room it was so unkept, so I tried to make it tidy and also comb my hair and packed it well. When I finished with that I noticed I was feeling hungry, so I boil water and prepared local pear and used in eating bread.

After I finished eating, I picked my phone and logged in to one of my social mediaFacebook to see what was going on there, on that process, the call of nature came calling as my phone fell off from my hand, I respected myself by dropping my phone and retired to bed afterwards.
