Get My Arse in Gear!

I have a diary – well, it isn’t really a diary, more of a place where I jot down notes which I can review at a later date. It is not written regularly and usually only when I have achieved something or I am planning to.

But here is the confession. At the beginning of this year I wrote:
“My work is going OK, but I still never have enough money. I need to write online courses to sell. I don’t think it will make much, but I hope it will make a few extra pennies.”

You are probably thinking that is no big deal – just another new year’s resolution. However, here is the post from the year before:
“I am still not earning enough, but I am getting most and often all of my teaching slots booked. I’m still looking at other ways to make money. My top choice at the moment is selling online courses. I have started the first one a while ago, but got distracted and haven’t returned to the project”

So not only is it nearly June 2018 and I haven’t started it, but in 2017 I was talking about having started in 2016 and not got going with it!

I need a serious slap on the wrist.

Today I have signed up for a course on how to market online courses and find a target audience!

So far, my plan involves:
• Website – review if I need my own or can use teachable.com
• Video lessons – research how to record these
• Audio – find and start collecting real life conversations for analysis and authentic content
• Format – decide on a format – should I present the learning targets through a PowerPoint presentation?
• Price – how the heck to I work out how much to charge?
• Logo – I think I have an idea for this one!!!!!

Hehe – now I have written it down and published it – I will HAVE to get it done!
