Colorchallenge Monday Red

My line of work is related to the mining industry, and therefore I often go to the most arid of places. Everyone walks around in safety clothing – hard hats, overalls with reflective jackets, safety shoes. Everything is bleak and even depressing. I certainly would not like to work in such an environment all the time. I think the starkness of the industry would kill my creative mind.

Therefore, how refreshing to encounter a group of people who decided that they are really going to go all out for Valentine's Day, dressing up to the nines, and actually handing out flowers to everyone.

Underneath is my temporary workstation at the same mine, with the flowers that I received. Note that the "vase" is an empty water bottle!
